Summer Shape Up!

Summer Shape Up is back by popular demand! You will work with JCC Personal Trainer and Dietician in this results-driven 10 week program designed to jump start your weight loss with creative workout plans for a metabolic boost and calorie burn along with nutritional support and accountability. Receive inspiring tips and practical advice to help you reach your goals. You will work in the fitness center and group fitness environment to improve your cardio and strength training regimes. You will be given body assessments at the start and completion of the program and weigh-ins weekly to measure your achievements. Summer Shape Up will set you on a path to a healthier and happier lifestyle.

Beach Body Bootie Barre

Get ready to change your body fast! JCC’s Beach Body Bootie Barre will safely target the areas of the body women struggle with; abs, hips, bootie and arms without bouncing or jumping. This total body workout will lift your seat, tighten and tone your arms, hips and thighs utilizing the ballet barre, small isometric movements, low impact and dynamic moves to elevate the heart rate and energize the body with seamless recovery stretches to elongate the body.

Senior Strength & Balance

Get fit in this fun, energetic class that will allow our seasoned members to work on their balance by incorporating specific “Core”, or abdominal exercises as the main focus of the class. These core exercises combined with standing balance exercises will build strength week after week. Participants will also be educated on proper form and will learn techniques they can do to help work on their balance issues to make strides in regaining balance back into their bodies.

*Those participants that can’t stand for a length of time can participate while sitting in chairs.

FOR KIDS!

Tae Kwon Do

Kids love Tae Kwon Do! Tae Kwon Do is the popular Korean martial art known for its dynamic kicking techniques. Children will learn skills and techniques in a safe, fun environment with lots of games. Each student is looked at as a unique individual and as a member of a team. The skills taught are progressive with built-in incentives for them to achieve success and maximize their potential.

  • Beginner – Intermediate students are introduced to the combination of kicking and punching techniques, self defense, and forms. The training also includes mental skills that improve memorization.
  • Intermediate to Advanced students are challenged with more complicated mental and physical skill sets including advanced forms, self defense techniques and the study of the musculoskeletal systems and the history of martial arts.
  • Advanced students will prepare for demonstrations and competitions which will include advanced self defense techniques, forms, and weapons training (Bo Staff, Kamas, and Nunchuks).

All Classes will build self-confidence, enhance self-control, while developing concentration skills. A uniform can be purchased from the instructor, and is mandatory for testing purposes.
