Our Manhattan in Marblehead speaker series, live from New York City, was a big hit last year… and now the new 2012 line-up is here!  Hear world-famous speakers live from New York City and simulcast here at the J. These are interactive evenings. Ask the speakers questions, and they’ll answer them from NYC. Check out the schedule and save your spot. $10 for JCC members, $12 for community. Light refreshments served at 7:15pm. (When you register online, please type in JCCNS, as the facility name.)

Family Date Night, Sat., Feb. 4, 5:30-8:00pm

It’s not cold enough to go skating, so we’ll spend Saturday night watching a movie, going swimming and enjoying pizza dinner! Meet our teachers and learn about all the J has to offer.

Sunday Snow Day, Sunday., Feb 12, 1:00-3:00pm

Join us for winter fun! We’ll have skating, sledding, a snowman contest and hot chocolate. We’ll even make maple syrup pops in the snow.  Gather your family and friends and come play on the hill!

Dive-In Movie, Saturday, March 24, 6:00-8:00pm

It’s a Family Date Night!. Bring your suits, go for a swim and enjoy a family movie at the JCC heated indoor pool. Pizza and dessert, too.

On your mark, get set… get ready for the JCC’s 12th Annual Triathlon by the Sea on Sunday, May 13th at 8am. (That’s Mother’s Day!) The beautiful, oceanside race is popular with athletes from all over.

Shooting Hoops for a Good Cause

JCC Remembers Sports Hero with 3on3 Tournament

Nearly 100 people — from school kids through adults — came out for the JCC’s 5th Annual Jimmy Myers 3on3 Basketball Tournament.  Twnety-eight teams competed in different age groups throughout the day. Everyone had a blast!

Myers was a beloved coach at the JCC of theNorth Shore in Marblehead for 25 years, where he mentored thousands of kids about good sportsmanship. He ran youth and adult basketball leagues, coached, refereed and led after-school classes.

Here are a few pictures from the day. We can’t wait ’til next year!
